We will send CityHelp collect; for this you have to fill the ordering form in the maps area. If you prefer, you can purchase CityHelp in retail shops. CityHelp is part of promotion campaigns of mobile device manufacturers. You can see the list of our current clients.
What does the CityHelp consist of?
CityHelp works in devices with the Microsoft Pocket PC operating system and in some models of the Nokia mobile phones. It is distributed in CD-ROM and as of now the collection that includes Lisboa, Porto and a summary map of Portugal is available for purchase. Soon it will exist for other operating systems and will include the collections of other cities and regions.
Why should I register CityHelp?
Registration is the process through which the user is permanently authorized to use a given map together with the CityHelp application in a given mobile device. After installation in the mobile device the CityHelp can be used for a maximum of 15 days (or opening/switching maps 150 times), after that period ends, unless registration is done, it no longer can be used.
What does the CityHelp registration consist of?
After installing CityHelp in a mobile device, you have to introduce the Serial Number. The CityHelp uses the serial number to produce the Registration Number. By providing the registration number to the server in the CityHelp site the user obtains by email the Authorization Code. The registration process ends when the authorization code is introduced in the PDA/mobile device.
What is the CityHelp serial number and what do I use it for?
It is a sequence of digits and lowercase letters with the format xxxx-xxxx-xxxx, that is printed in a label found in the CD-ROM, and that uniquely identifies it. This Serial Number is used to start the registration process, it is asked by CityHelp after the program is installed in a mobile device. It is advisable to save this Serial Number in a safe place so that it can be presented when asked by the CityHelp technical staff.
What is the CityHelp registration number and what do I use it for?
It is a sequence of digits and lowercase letters with the format xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx, that is produced by the CityHelp application after the Serial Number is keyed-in in the PDA at the application registration form. This registration number must be supplied to the server in the CityHelp internet site to obtain the Authorization Code.
How to obtain the CityHelp authorization code?
To obtain the authorization code go to the register area, fill the form with the registration data, including the Registration Number. The authorization code, a sequence of digits and lowercase letters with the format xxxx-xxxx, will be sent to the email address that you supply in the form.

How to reach the "Help" of the CityHelp for Pocket PC?
CityHelp has a text explaining all its features in the format of a "Help" text. It is possible to reach this text in the same way that it is possible to reach the Help of any Pocket PC application, that is, as soon as the CityHelp application is active click over the title of the application (CityHelp) and it appears a pull-down menu that contains, as its last command, access to the Help. As an alternative you can also select the CityHelp menu option "Ajuda..." (Help).
How can I verify if the map is registered?
Go to the CityHelp "Menu" and choose the option "Abrir Mapa..." (Open map). In the case of a valid registration, the map name is preceded by a "v" (verified), otherwise it has an "x" (not verified).
The device indicates that it does not have enough memory to install CityHelp.
Due to the way the Pocket PC installation process works, twice as much storage memory is needed to install the applications, this because the Pocket PC starts by copying the installation files to the mobile device, then tries to install them, and only afterwards deletes the installation files. Therefore you must ensure that enough free storage space is available during installation.
I have a memory expansion pack but I cannot install CityHelp.
Version 1.0 of CityHelp is not able to use the optional memory storage found in the system (Secure Digital or Compact Flash) because it is not seen as built-in memory. Starting with version 1.5, at installation time, it is possible to choose whether to install in the main memory or in the removable memoy card (Secure Digital or Compact Flash).
When using GPS NAVMAN 3000 theCityHelp presents the message "Não foi encontrado nenhum dispositivo GPS!" (no GPS device was found).
